OCTOBER UPDATE
Predicting that the month will be mostly observations from our Venice trip.
I will start posting my various points of interest from the Town of Montreal West
Predicting that the month will be mostly observations from our Venice trip.
I will start posting my various points of interest from the Town of Montreal West
Not planning too much for September but expect to be using photos from our cottage walks.
For my Flickr one minute slideshows I have been working with photos from over the years on the different aspects of our home like the front yard or the various rooms in the house.
I expect that there will be a post or two from St Denis sur Richelieu where we have been visiting a guide friend for more than ten years - a photo of their view from 2009
The game plan is to have more or less nature slide shows this month
My monthly project is going through all my printed photos from the last 20 or so years and throwing out most and seeing what to do with the others.
My Monthly flashback to 2010 will be about our trip to the Maritimes
One of the slideshows will be in keeping of the travel theme
The collage project I am working on is British Barristers being coupled with Art Deco illustrations on a background of Frans Lanting photographs
We visited my sister in the Catskills and it is always a good place for me to take some photos
One of my weekly slideshows on my Flickr page will use the flashback to 2010 theme of Paris
Working on my collection of Montreal West images - possibly for a book, but for my ammual sale in Novemebr in any case.
The flashback to 2010 will be our trip to London
On e of the slideshows will be a novel method of grouping - every image in the show will have the same file number
I found as earlier copy of Gardner Through the Ages that I hope to use for my analysis of how the image Dejeuner sur l’herbe has been written about changes with every edition.
It will be a snowy month on the blog - finally had a nice snowfall and went out photographing. I am also continuing re-visiting 2010 the year before i started my blog.
The first slideshow in the same vein - one fence from the Covid years
and I even did a snow themed collage book
The blog will show photographs of our recent trip to Fort Lauderdale plus my revisiting of March 2010
One slideshow I am planning in Flora in Paris, but I am finding it hard to predict which shows I will make.
For my monthly PDF book I am going back to an early project where I was using my old Esquire magazines..
I am presently trying to catch up rather than create new work (but it is always more fun to do new than revisit the old)
I haven’t been taking that many pictures lately so on the blog I have decided to mine my 2010 photos - the year before I started my daily blog - what I looked like in 2010
When we are at our three season cottage I often go on a photo walk to the highway - I will make a few collections for my one minute slideshows that I post on Flickr (hopefully)
and in honour of the Henry Moore / Georgia O’Keeffe show at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts I will upload a book of my collages that used Georgia O’Keeffe’s images as backgrounds for shoes from the Metropolitan Museum’s collection.
BLOG Not sure how it will be affected by my scanning of my family’s old albums that I am scanning - I hadn’t seen in thirty years it seems - but not too many pictures - one of the few when I had long hair.
Usually I have some done already and can predict the monthly topic - may stick with our Patagonia Holiday from years past
I updated my links to publications pdf and added five books that I had done lately. I plan to upload short projects on a more frequent basis in the new year
on the blog I expect to continue with photos from Portugal and then it will be back home most likely with some winter scenes
I will be having architecture as my theme for the slideshows for the month
for a book project I am trying to be very optimistic so that on December 31st I will upload the pdf version of the year’s blog posts
The blog will concentrate mostly on our recent trip to Portugal where we learnt that during the dictatorship one could only talk of the three Fs - Football, Fado and pictured above Fatima.
The slideshows theme will be people (or maybe some shadows as well)
I always am optimistic in posting a collage book during the month - game plan now is to upload shorter ones
Most likely the blog will all be about local happenings and colour at the cottage
Slideshows will have a nature theme
I am working on compiling all my homage blog posts over the years into a book - here I was giving tribute to Caspar David Friedrich
On the blog I will share some Paris photos that for some reason never got into my Lightroom catalog
for my weekly slideshows I am going through my catalog for topics that I have enough images to create a show
My book project is where I tamed Nature’s Chaos by placing beautiful fashion models into the surroundings
The idea for a set of posts was looking through all my draft posts over the years and editing them to post
The slideshows will concentrate on my photos of other people’s art
The book project is many annunciations being joined to a book about one
We have started going back to the cottage and expect the blog to be mostly about that
for my slideshows I am revisiting our trip to Argentina - funny image here of our VRBO
on the book front I plan to upload some of my works where I used Linda Rutenberg’s photography books as a base for my collages
You can find all these books on the page “links to publications” and don’t forget I still am updating Das Kleine Museum every week with seven more pages
on the blog we went downtown to view an art exhibit and then walked around and I took some photos as well
Think I am finally getting back on track with my slideshows
also hoping to get back on track with my PDF books - much less work than the slideshows just keep forgetting to upload
The blog posts will have a number of images from a family visit to the Chutes de Plaissance
Excited that I finally have started posting a slideshow on Flickr again
and I did post a new pdf book on my Adobe Publish on-line site as well as doing my weekly updates to Das Kleine Museum
The blog will be focusing mostly on our recent trip to Toronto
I need to use a different software for my slide shows and I am taking my time to learn it - but it hasn’t stopped me from making collections for potential shows - eager to res\tart posting weekly this month.
I have been scanning a lot of my older projects these last few weeks and will post one or more on my links to publications page - the project shown here was where I added an image of a horse from one of the artbooks I had and combined them into An English Forest
On the blog I will finally write about our travels - to Curacao and then to my nephew and family in Fort Lauderdale
Definitely weird that I finished the redoing of my first 500 one minute slideshows - will start creating new ones to post in March but more likely back to the weekly format in April
I found yet another copy of this book devoted to one artwork of the Annunciation - I previously uploaded the fifth version that used Costes magazine to be paired with it, but since then I fill the books with other Annunciation works. I hope to finish the fourth one created in this manner and will upload one to Adobe publications which you can find under the tab links to publications.
My wife and the grandchildren watching Joyce Wieland’s film about rats escaping the US to Canada at the National Gallery- we babysat for the week and it was my opportunity to take photos - so my daily blog will be mostly about this and perhaps back to updating my web site.
