We waited a few hours to start, so I tried to not be bored by taking a few photos.

We had quite a long wait to start walking - so I took a number of photos of the groups that would either precede us or follow us. No photo of the bagpipe group ahead of us, but we now know its whole repertoire.

If you live in Montreal you really should support this cause which is trying to protect a green space from development.
The Frog at the St Patrick's Parade
The first two pictures I took - so not much of an idea- but today received an email with me in full costume.
My wife is the skunk. When my son saw me trying on the frog outfit he said "Remind me not to get married!"
Make up artists
I was in the St. Patrick's day parade last Sunday, and the morning started off with everyone getting their make-up applied. Above a bee and a tree are being worked on.

This is kind of how I saw this - usually the camera corrects for my eyesight - but here it didn't on the first photo - but I ended up preferring the shapes more in this version than the in focus version

Went to The Wheel to listen to a "oldies" type band. Quite a bit of fun for "oldies" like myself. Really should try and come back during the day to take some other pictures.

Temporary Art
I listened to Eleanor Wachtel on the Arts where she talked to the performance artist Marina Abramovic, and was fascinated with the concept that the memory of the experience is the only "tangible" proof on its existence. Andy Goldsworthy photographs his installations for posterity. I found the above artwork attached to a wall on my walk home. I photographed it, as I can't imagine it surviving for long.

I recently gave a presentation at my camera club about the value of reviewing one's work. I seem to have a few photos of lockers, and many of doors. Is this psychologically saying something about feeling trapped (like everyone else), with a door as an escape?

At a fundraiser last week, I walked around a couple of times waiting for my turn to bowl, and came up with a few shots - these are some gumballs.
Bowling night #1
I am not quite sure who is hiring, but I can guess where they will put you. This photo is a little bit in the vein of Lynn Cohen who has a show right now at the McCord Museum in Montreal. She is one of my favourite photographers and I suggest everyone go if they have a chance.
Five becomes one
I was looking at these five images of the same spot in the compare window of Lightroom and liked the look of it on the screen and so I made this panorama.
