Another high vantage point in Quebec City

While in Italy I thought that the high vantage point was exclusive to those seaside towns, but in Quebec City there are many opportunities to get these aerial views.

Historic House on ile d'orleans

took a guided tour of this little home  - mostly because my wife is trying to become a guide at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts - AND we were very glad we did! You can imagine that the expectations were low but there were so many interesting facts. I vow to take tours whenever I can from now on.

the reason I am posting this photo was because I was surprised that the horizontal band atop the wall surrounding the church was actually made of wood - it just looked like more stone to me

Dreams Take Flight bicyclists arrive in Quebec City

My wife wanted to greet the fund-raising bicyclists as they arrived in Quebec City. I thougfht I had a good idea to photograph them with the bicycle and arrow in the foreground - but forgot to take into account that everyone would want to be closer - oh well
