Using my photographs as substitute for plaques on Levy Pilotte Day

Last Friday was our annual sports day where we invite all the staff for a day of golf or water activities at l'Esterel.  After the meal we finally honored staff who had been employed by the firm for 5,19,15,20 or 25 years. Instead of giving the customary plaque our HR thought it would be a better idea to give one of my photographs with a little dedication on the matting. I spent time trying to match the photos to the individual staff members and in the end feel that the whole idea was a great success. Above is the riskiest photo that I had selected.

ATP visits Montreal

The tournament is going on this week and I went Saturday to watch some of the qualifying.
Took about 40 shots of the players and was happy with the reaction time of my shutter release.
One thing I learnt when I reviewed the photographs- is that the return of serve is almost always a shot made from an awkward stance.
Did not take that many photos as if you do you aren't watching the tennis.

Top ten couches - Pairs #10

Starting a new series of photos with two couches in them on my blog alexbrzcouches.com .
I accidentally posted here, but will keep just in case you do not know about it. I like how they can be side by side, back to back, one behind the other, facing each other and even other configurations. This is how they are ending their long relationship together.

start with a tie to get an extra one in - as the one above taken on February 9, 2012 may have already have been posted. Below from November 15, 2010

at the Eglise Saint Denis

We recently went to a garden party, but prior to our serious eating and drinking, our host Diane took us to see the Saint Denis Church in Saint Denis sur Richelieu. The first photo is of her testing out the pulpit with one of its famous paintings in the background. We had a guided tour and I always recommend having one of these when you can, as it makes the visit much more interesting. The photos below are a couple of my favorites.
