a couple of photos from the 50th anniversary. Above my wife and I in period costumes taken by members of the Lakeshore Camera Club who manned the booth taking the photos. Below a photo of me in front of my works.
There really is a sign culture near my sister's, and i have been told that photos are much more interesting if they have something to read. Pretty hard to miss this message. May hurt the view from inside though.
While in New York I went for a walk along the highway to see what photos there were. My sister (the artistic one in the family) had shown me a series of photos she had taken of all the trees that had fallen during Hurricane Sandy. I took a number but couldn't have imitated her style even if I had wanted too. Here are a couple of mine.
A number of passengers awaiting the train were intrigued by this woman. After she left we saw the very small mouse she had been photographing on the tracks
Just before we left Montreal I decided I was going to make round the subject of my slideshow for my camera club's AV night. So I got to add this two to the video's candidates.
Inside my sister's studio I recognized the picture attached to the wall from one of my favourite books "Fashion" by Phaidon. I found out it was done by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in 1995. I guess she does look through all that old stuff she collects.
I normally take photos of couches - and on instagram seats of the street would also include the photos above. I like photographing items in the snow. I am still going strong on my other blog alexbrzcouches.blogspot.ca
