and a month of colours - here you will see a panorama at our cottage if you click on the image
October was Halloween and for my slideshows 2.0 I updated a number of them
and a month of colours - here you will see a panorama at our cottage if you click on the image
one of my slideshow series for the 2.0 update was places of which London was one
my latest collage project is using a Linda Rutenberg book again - I am putting African and Oceanic sculptures into her English gardens at night. - both images have such nice directional light
and on the blog - continuing with images from trip to and from Renaissance and the cottage
Living with a full plate, I have once again let updating my website falter. A lot of the individual tabs get updated automatically , but one may not see that when landing here. So another stab at a synopsis.
The big event so far is August 13th blog post of my 100th slide show updated to what I am calling 2.0
For my Camera Club I am working on a short presentation to be given in September on photographing in the suburbs - and using my trusty stock of couch images to illustrate how wherever you are is the best place to photograph
without any travel lately, my daily blog has been a hodge podge of my walks in the country, to my local thrift shop, some other walks down memory lane and other local sightings. I call this image “Lying down on the job”
in my collage work I am adding the images of Hungarian costumes into a local photographer’s book
In Flickr I have continued my Slideshows 2.0 where I have been updating all my slideshows to certain criteria, one being all exactly one minute long. At some point I intend to make a pdf that will link to all the slideshows, but like everything else I seem to not make enough time. This week’s theme is Square slideshows with each day representing a different type
Architecture is the day’s theme
I uploaded my 2019 book of all my blogposts from 2019 that you can download and look at your leisure
on my daily blog just using things that i see on my walks - cannot wait to travel. The image above wasn’t used but I like that it is a circle and that nature is claiming back its territory
My latest collage uploaded collage project where two worlds of make believe join forces
Two additional images of water reflections from the walk that I featured on my Google blog recently.
Well into my updating of slideshows on Flickr - Day 31 and even more water.
A New Collage publication just posted. Seems I have that system working- now just to make this weekly blog post routine
The reason I had trouble was I started a big project of reworking all my 500 Flickr slideshows to make them consistent, including that they will all have my logo, be one minute long and if possible have the same size images, and in some cases update the post-processing to be more in line with my aesthetics of today. I have been trying to figure how to create a summary and so far on day 12 don’t have one yet
One of the twelve posted so far - the tab Flickr will bring you to the sight to view them
Photos of our magnolia tree and those taken while going for walks with my sister and brother-in-law have been what I have been populating Instagram and my regular blog and even our Camera Club site
The theme was Bokeh
I have just uploaded another collage book which you can find on links to publications - certainly a less that five minute read
My blog for the week has been concentrating on the images I have been finding as I keyword my Lightroom Catalog. I have nine categories and did a post of two square images on most, but not the category Sculpture - here are two
From Mexico City
from Richmond Virginia
In my Camera Club this week I somehow came in the top ten with the following image from Florida
the subject was patterns - I thought all three images I submitted were equivalents but hte other two scored near the bottom - I put one below
Montreal winter road
and finally I was asked to create a subject for our club’s weekly challenge and posted a few images as inspiration for the topic signage
God Bless America
This Property is not for Sale - taken in Kenya
My blog this week is being populated with the discoveries I have been making going through the 25,000 images that I had never bothered to keyword. So far I have gone through about three thousand and most likely will give up soon. I used to compare photographs to golf shots, as I was so surprised how golfers seem to remember their shots from years ago, as do photographers. But, I see there are many photos I don’t remember taking.
With this new system I decided that I need also to make sure I post at least one image a week on Instagram and this week I chose one from a series I made playing around with tulip petals on our kitchen table that had been painted by my artist sister-in-law Andrea Blanar. Here is a sample of the series
and lastly I put up another collage book onto my Adobe Publish Online Site
The project combines images from The Great American Pin-Up book and places them within The Art of Muscle and contrasts the artificial body shapes created either by the pen or by steroids, posing the question “Which is more real?”
This week has a few posts about my unsuccessful photo walk outings, but could make four posts out of fifteen images - Here are two I didn’t show
I started with myself within the tree shadows as my first picture
I have been taking a photo of any Budweiser can I come across for a few years, but lately have started a series where I will take a photo of the beer can if I can read the whole brand name after it has been crushed - two of those are on my blogger - which has a link from my web page.
